Condolence: I met Clara while helping with the Claremont parties. Clara exemplified what it means to be kind and others-centered. She always went out of her way to make sure people get recognized for their time and work. When she met my niece, who had just come to Vancouver for her studies, she patiently took her time to encourage my niece to talk about her studies and her experience with Canada. It made her feel welcome and accepted in an unfamiliar place. Clara also introduced us to the “scenic” route to Costco because she did not like the busy Lougheed Hwy, and she was right, it was a more fun route. Life is not about rushing from one place to another but about cherishing our experience during the journey. Thank you, Clara, for teaching us this important lesson. My condolences to Clara's family. Clara, you will be dearly missed.

Condolence: Auntie Clara was closer to me than my mother and I loved her with all my heart. She had the most beautiful smile, eyes - spirit.
In business matters her reputation was highly respected. Friendships were born through her caring and loyalty and shown by her actions. Her overwhelming love was earned and deserved.
She had a life well spent. How fortunate for those who had the privilege to be a part of it.
I will now depend on Uncle Danilo to retell the Theiss family stories - so rich with the love, devotion and sacrifice of Great Uncle Otto Theiss. Shared with indebtedness by my father Carl Herman Theiss. Nurtured and honored with gratitude by Auntie Clara. I will do my best to remember and pass on the history of the love and affection of this family.
Our hearts are now broken.
Uncle Danilo, Peter and Sharon: A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved.
Rest In Peace Dear Auntie Clara.

Condolence: While sad to hear of the passing of Clara, her memories are ones of happy times spent working with her at BC Hydro, her calming confidence in knowing how to do everything and the humour she imparted in doing it. She will be missed by family and friends alike.

Condolence: Dear Danilo, Peter & Sharon,
Clara was such a beautiful person who touched our lives in warm and loving ways. Her courageous and positive outlook on life, even during difficult times, was an inspiration to us. She was always there to help and support our family in times of need. Clara will have a special place in our hearts and she will truly be missed. We pray that you will find comfort in knowing that she is home with our Lord, free and at peace.
Love,
Antonia, Dino, Barbara, Isaiah and Francesca

Condolence: My step father (Carl Herman Theiss R.I.P.), was Clara's only sibling and full blood sister. Although the Air Force always took him away from her, he loved Aunty Clara very much. He would recall to us the fond memories of growing up on Uncle Otto's farm and how if it hadn't have been for Clara the men on that farm would be lost! She was always a nurturing woman.

Pappy being newly married, when I was 11 and my brother Steven only 6, took us to meet Great Uncle Otto and Aunty Clara. She treated us as if we were her own and we had never been apart! She made everyone feel loved around her. I loved this new Aunty!

Clara and Danilo came to CFB Cold Lake to visit us in 1994. My father was so proud to present his sister and share her with all of us once again. He even broke out the harmonica and violin, (something he never did), and we all sat around and sang the evening away.

He loved his sister and always dreamed of moving back to BC to be closer; but he married a prairie girl (my mother), and she did not want to move away from their collective nine children together who all lived in Alberta.

I would like to believe, that now Clara's childhood family, which had endured so much, can be reunited up above, and that Oma and Opa, along with Carl, are by her side waiting to break out into song once again.
