Obituary for Elizabeth Joan Savoie

Elizabeth Joan Savoie
In Loving Memory of
Elizabeth Joan Marie Savoie
February 5, 1987 – August 31, 2014

It is with the greatest sadness and heaviest hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Elizabeth Joan Marie Savoie on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Elizabeth was taken from us tragically and far too soon at the age of 27.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her father Scott Savoie in 1995. Left to cherish her memory are her mother Jane Beardsley, step – father Darren MacMillan, sister Samantha Savoie, brother Cameron MacMillan, aunt Kathryn Beardsley. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandparents and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Elizabeth’s boyfriend Ryan Bremner and his family are grieving her loss as well.

Liz, as she was fondly known, was born at Royal Columbian Hospital on February 5, 1987 and grew up in Coquitlam, B.C. She graduated from Centennial High School in 2005. Liz attended Vancouver Community College where she graduated from the Unit Clerk Program. Liz loved her work as a Unit Clerk at the Royal Columbian Hospital.

Liz was a remarkable young woman. She loved reading books, watching movies and participating in outdoor activities such as camping in the summer and skiing in the winter. Liz possessed a love of adventure and enjoyed traveling with her family. She recently traveled to Mexico and California with friends.

Liz lived a life filled with love and respect for her family and friends. She was a caring and compassionate young woman. Liz’s presence will be forever missed but the wonderful memories of Liz that we hold precious will never fade or diminish with time.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Elizabeth in late September.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Memorial Fund that will be used to establish a permanent fixture in Blue Mountain Park in Elizabeth’s memory. Donations can also be made to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation in Elizabeth’s name.
