My brother-in-law

The world is a sadder place for the loss of Frank Haley my brother-in-law.  He was the older brother of my late husband Jack Haley and they were always very close in thoughts and deeds as well as in age.

Frank was the epitome of an officer and a gentleman.  He proudly wore the Canadian Air Force uniform and was a striking looking man while on duty or off.

He stayed with my husband and me in Germany when he was on his way back to Canada from serving in the border area of Rawalpindi and Pakistan.  We had so many laughs to-gether.  He gave a wonderful cigar box to my husband that he had hand made especially for him.  Frank praised all my meals that I cooked for him and was such a kind and wonderful man and was grateful for the smallest things.

He deeply loved his wife Alice and all of his children.  He had a little story to tell about each one of them.  He loved his family and his brothers Jack and Dick and their children and always wanted to hear what each one was doing at that time in their lives.

He was a wonderfu conversationalist and had so many varied stories to tell.

He had Christopher bring him to Victoria to visit Jack in the nursing home when he himself was not well.  Kind until the end.  He will always linger in our memories.  We had such good times.  Gone but not forgotten  Love to the family, Aunt Jean
