Obituary for Giovanna Arcari (Pezzente)

Giovanna Arcari (Pezzente)
Giovanna Arcari
July 13th, 1940 – November 2nd, 2016

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our kind and devoted mother and grandmother. Giovanna was born in Sepino, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1964. She resided in Port Coquitlam for the last 39 years where she took great pride in growing an abundant vegetable garden and flourishing flower garden. Her house was the gathering place for many friends and family and her greatest joy was the precious moments she spent with them while sharing her homemade baked treats.

Giovanna was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Giovanni. She will be deeply missed by her son Tony (Angela), grandchildren, Caterina and Alex, brother Pasquale (Lucia), sister Laura (Giovanni) and many extended family and friends.

Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, November 9th at 7pm at Our Lady of Assumption Church 3141 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam and Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 10th at 12Noon. Entombment to follow at Oceanview Burial Park South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to the ALS Society will be greatly appreciated.
