Man, you could laugh !!

Most of my memories of Gord go back to a simpler time, probably not long after Gord and Ev were married.  There were many "get togethers" at Mom and Dad's place in Murrayville where we would enjoy big meals and loud, happy conversations going on all at once.  Most often, after a wonderful supper, we would clear the dishes and settle in for some serious card games like Hearts or Flinch (my favourite) or anything else anyone brought to the table.  Along with the fun and din of several conversations going all at once, there was laughter.  That's what I always hear when I think of Gord, is how his laughter would come from the reaches of his tummy and burst forth over all the other noises in the room.  Man, you could laugh!  Even though he is no longer here, I will never forget those moments when someone would turn the tiide of the card game and Gord would lean back and laugh that hardy, heartfelt, carefree laughter for all to enjoy.  Good on you, Gord, you had the right stuff .....
