Helen Lorena Burgess March 14, 1933 - November 8, 2015

BURGESS, Helen Lorena (nee Anderson). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend on November 8, 2015. Helen was born on March 14, 1933 in New Westminster and was raised in Maillardville, Coquitlam.

Helen is predeceased by her parents, Nels Gustav Anderson and Margaret Josefina Anderson (nee Lundberg), by her husband, D.J.A. (Art) Burgess and by her siblings, Myrtle (Albert), Gordon (Olive), June (Harry) and John (Marilyn). Helen is survived by her children, Shelley Haig (Phil), Todd, Shanna (Peter Heussner) and Scott, her grandsons, Clinton (Andree-Anne), Jackson (Suzie) and Justin, by her siblings, Rhonda Stilwell (Neil) and Larry, by her many nieces and nephews, including Melanie Mitchell (Paul Zanetti) and her great niece, Samantha Zanetti. Helen is also survived by her long time friends, Terry and Anne Keenan (nee Stoddart).

Helen's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Burquitlam Lions Care Centre where Helen has lived for almost three years. Please join us in celebrating Helen's life at a memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the Burquitlam Funeral Home on North Road, Coquitlam.
