Obituary for Helma Carson (Rotschenk)

Helma Carson (Rotschenk)
CARSON, Helma
(nee Rotschenk)

Born June 18, 1942 in Cervenka, Yugoslavia, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2015 at the Hospice House in Kelowna, BC at the age of 73. Helma is survived by her husband, Allan; daughter Chris Konig of Kelowna; son Tony Carson (Nancy) of Port Coquitlam; grandchildren Kim Stobbe, Laura Konig, and Sunny and Mitchell Carson; great-grandchildren Kennedy, Aiden, and Rylee Stobbe; and her brother John Rotschenk (Bonnie) of Chatham, ON.

Helma came to Canada at the age of 4 and grew up and went to school in Chatham, Ontario. Married, she came to British Columbia in 1964 where she worked as a traveller in the jewelery industry for many years, earning the honour of Traveller of the Year on more than one occasion. She was highly respected by both her customers and competitors alike, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her as she was a very caring person.

Our family would like to send a special thank you to the Westbank Interior Health support team and the Central Okanagan Hospice House for their care of our loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, and Nanny. A service will be held in Vancouver in the Spring of 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society,
