Merci, Henriette! Je ne t’oublierai jamais!

Among the most vibrant memories of my eight years of teaching at Millside Elementary School, Mrs. Henriette Sévigny stands front and centre. Over the years, our partnership grew into friendship. She truly believed that the future of Maillardville relied on creating and maintaining links between the elderly and the young. She dedicated herself to make it happen with her legendary generosity and her remarkable know-how. She brought to our school many pioneers keen on telling their story and transmitting their heritage. Thank you, Henriette! I will never forget you! My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
