John Jean Laberge
John Jean Victor Laberge
May 15, 1927 - March 19, 2018

Born and raised in St. Victor, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2018 in Coquitlam. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscille, stepson Raymond, his parents, Alfred and Marie, brothers Leo, Abel, Charles, and Marcel, and sister, Bella. John is survived by his sister Georgette, sisters-in-law Jean and Lucille, step-sons Roland, Maurice (Chris) and Henri (Grace), step-grandchildren Ian, Avril, Jamie, Tina, Nicole, and Steven, numerous nieces and nephews from the Laberge family, and his cousin and devoted friend, Marcel Bruneau.

John was a resident of Maillardville for over 70 years and worked at Pacific Veneer for 38 years. In his spare time, John enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, travelling with Priscille, and spending weekends at their trailer in Birch Bay with their dog, Rika. John was a devoted member of Council #9246 of the Knights of Columbus. He also gave many hours volunteering with the Coquitlam RCMP, Our Lady of Fatima parish and the Centre Bel Age.

John's family would like to thank the staff at Fraser Health, the staff and home support workers of Bayshore Healthcare, and the staff at Belvedere Care Centre who treated and cared for John and gave him compassion and support.

Prayers for John will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 828 Laval Square, Coquitlam on Monday, March 26 at 7:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes on Tuesday, March 27 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society.
