Katharin Elsner of Coquitlam, BC passed away in her 87th year on March 15, 2018. She is survived by her children, Lisa and Kenneth, five grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Katharin was born and raised in Köckendorf, Austria and came to Canada as a young woman where she met and married the love of her life, Kurt Elsner. The deep and enduring nature of their 53-year partnership is an inspiration and their love and companionship will be fondly remembered. They traveled extensively, visiting Europe often, and lived life to the fullest. Katharin had a great sense of style, and was a gifted seamstress and clothing designer. She had a great love of the outdoors, singing and creativity and her kind and caring nature touched many people. Katharin was a bright light in the lives of others and will be dearly missed by her friends and colleagues at Marlborough House, where she lived very happily for many years. Finally, her deep love, loyalty and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved this wonderful woman.

A celebration of Katharin’s life will take place at Trinity United Church on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
