The first time we met

I will always remember the first time I met Mr. Henri, or should I say the first time he met me. Doris had a few friends over one evening and I was fortunate enough to be one of them. We were in the basement of their home on 223, and Mr. and Mrs. H were up stairs. In that basement Dad had some colored lights along one wall that looked pretty cool. Well I decided that it was a little too much light, so I proceeded to unscrew all of them except the one red light, sort of set the mood, and closed the door. Well I’m still not sure how he knew but two minutes later here comes Mr. Henri. On go all the lights, screwed the bulbs back in and left the room leaving the door wide open. At the time I was sitting on this big green chair that was beside a wall, I noticed a shut off tap on the wall where I was sitting that looked to be on. Thinking it might be left on by mistake; I’ll do a good deed and shut it off. Two minutes later, here comes Mr. Henri, again. He opened the door turned the lights back on and walked straight over to where I was sitting, stood and look right at me. Didn’t say a word and turned the MAIN SHUT OFF TO THE HOUSE, back on. That was the first time we officially met. Little did he know… that one day… Miss you Dad; Your favorite son in law, Terry Nekrash
