Obituary for Lisa Joyce Sinclair (McEachern)

Lisa Joyce Sinclair (McEachern)
Lisa Joyce Sinclair was daughter to Terry and Marguerite McEachern. Born August 23rd 1962 at St. Paul’s hospital, Vancouver BC. Lisa was an only child and grew up in the Dunbar area. She attended Immaculate Conception, then went on to attend Little Flower Academy for high school. After she graduated from LFA, she spent some of her early 20’s traveling Europe, where she learned how to speak some French and German. Lisa also worked parks and rec in Vancouver during her early 20’s where she participated in children’s summer camps and administrative duties following in her mother’s footsteps. She spent a lot of her time also volunteering at Theater Under the Stars. She had an absolute love and appreciation for theater and especially musicals. Around the age of 26, Lisa decided to go back to school to become a psychiatric nurse. She then started working at forensics psychiatric institute in 1991. By this time, Lisa had married Greg and had their first child together, Ellen. Five years after Ellen was born, they then had their second child, Shawn.

Lisa’s world revolved around her children and she undeniably loved being a mother. She would take them on many different travels which included Disneyland, West Edmonton Mall, Minnesota, and many more. You would always find Lisa involved in Ellen and Shawn’s extra curricular activities as well their schools. She was always so proud of her two children. She was there for all of Ellen’s basketball practice’s/game’s as well, Shawn’s baseball practice’s/game’s. You would also find Lisa volunteering at her children’s schools, whether it was for PAC or accompanying a field trip. As time went on, Ellen and Shawn finished high school and Lisa was about to embark on what she called the greatest privilege ever, being a Grandmother. Lisa’s newest priority, above anything else were her two beautiful grandchildren, Jaylen and Sophia, who she unconditionally loved and adored. She then started participating in field trips and class activities with Jaylen and Sophia. You would catch Lisa reading to her grandchildren, signing with them or sitting at the table with Jaylen and Sophia surrounded by fun activities.

On January 16, 2017, Lisa Sinclair passed away. Her vivacious soul will never be forgotten. Her children will never forget how their mom would just stop where she was to start dancing when a song she loved came on. Her contagious and cheerful laugh will be heard by all who knew her. The kindest soul anyone had the honour of knowing. Most of all, she will always be remembered as the most loving and caring Mother, Grandma, and friend. She is greatly missed by her family and friends. Lisa’s children and grandchildren will keep her in their hearts and will have an eternal lasting love her.

Lisa’s service will be held on February 6, 2017 at St Clare of Assisi Catholic Parish for 1PM. Ellen and Shawn would like to give a special thank you to all those who have showered them with love and support and sharing wonderful memories of their mom with them. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
