The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lorna Brien can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Royal Canadian Legion West Point Grey Branch #142

The members of Royal Canadian Legion West Point Grey Branch #142 are saddened by the passing of Lorna, who played a vital role in the existence of the Branch for many years. While her husband Frank held the position of Branch President through several terms, he also encouraged Lorna to take on the role, which she accepted with grace and respect for all. As President and also a devoted member of the Ladies Auxilliary, Lorna was a driving force behind the continued viability of the Legion. Her generosity extended beyond her contribution of countless hours of volunteering. In recent years and even now, Lorna dedicated a portion of her estate to Legion 142, to ensure that the mission of the institution continues long into the future. The members are very grateful for her years of dedicated service, the example she set as a volunteer and the legacy created by her and Frank.
