The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mario Zappa can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Today would be your 90th birthday Dad. I miss you so very much. Not a day goes by that I do not see something that reminds me of you. Whether its the Vancouver picture you framed for me that is hanging on my office wall, the eyeglasses that you repaired for me because they were my favorite, or the broken necklace that you soldered for me. You are always on my mind and in my heart. Love Mare

Condolence: Been thinking of you a lot the last few days, Dad. Maybe because all the Amatrice earthquake pictures remind me of your village & I think of how you should be in front of the tv, watching the news. I don't think it will ever get easier. Miss you saying "Hello" when I call home & miss you standing at the front window waving bye as I back out the driveway. Love you.

Condolence: Today, as we lay you in your final resting place, I am reminded of the scripture from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
For everything there is a season, And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Condolence: Jenny and I were very sad to hear that Uncle Mario had passed away. He was always very kind to me and always happy to share a story with everyone. My fondest childhood memories include family gatherings when Zio would break into song to the delight of all. We will all miss him. We are so sorry to that he is gone. We are thinking of him, and all of you, during this difficult time. Rob Musto and Jenny Howard.
