The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Melita Hume can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My librarian friend

Mrs. Hume & I volunteered at the library in Melbourne Township.She was a very lovely lady. We shared many laughs together. My daughter, Melissa had the good fortune of checking out her books at her home in Melbourne while my husband Ted & I visited with Mr. Hume. Melissa was able to borrough the Edgar A. Poe book to help her out with her school project at the time. Mrs. Hume worked very hard at the municipal library, however she did not have to work at being my friend... I truly loved her. Please know my thoughts are with you. I am presently living in East Bolton but I will be working the day of her funeral services and since my husband died in January, I am still finding it much too difficult to be a part of these sad times.
