The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Maar can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Rob

I got to know Rob 5 years ago while I was studying in Toronto and my parents were selling their house in Vancouver - they always told me what a friendly and kind person he was over the phone. When I came back one summer, I met Rob and Sandra over lunch and still remember how welcome he made me felt, and how his sense of humor is still bringing a smile to my face. 

We recently reconnected with Rob, and I am reminiscing over how Rob demonstrated what a true gentleman that he is. I cannot thank him enough for being such a kind person to me during difficult issues, Rob's positivie attitude is truly inspiring. Rob has always been very willing to share expereinces of his life where he has always led it to becoming a posititve outcome. I will always remember our chats and the generosity and kindness that Rob always had.

Every bit of my house has a memory attached to Rob because of his attention to detail. Rob will truly be missed and the impact that he has left behind will always be remembered.
