A large, missing piece of Tani's life was her involvement as a Parents' Advisory Committee chairperson. School events were organized to the detail and Tani expertly delegated tasks to other enthusiastic parents. From head lice to hoedowns and the best sports days ever, I am happy to have spent days at school and days in the park with the Cawthra family. Taken too soon but wings earned over all her living years.

I was both sad and sorry to hear about the loss of Tani. She was the best person ever hired to help the stores at Purdy’s in the support position. She was always there to pick up the phone and knew all the answers. We all knew that we could count on her to assist us and the business. We loved her for it. She will be missed.
