Obituary for Victoria Ellen King

KING, Victoria
1930 - 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Victoria King announce her passing on January 9, 2018. Victoria will be forever remembered by her children Patricia (Bert) and Michael (Lynda), precious grandchildren Robert, Paul, Kathryn, and Jenna. She is survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Victoria was predeceased by her father Choy King, mother Toy King and daughter Roberta. Of her nine siblings Anna, John, Leonard, Freda, Mary predeceased her. She is also fondly remembered by foster daughters, Pauline, Marie, Olga (Bob) and Emily (Maurice).

Victoria was proud to be a stewardess with Canadian Pacific Airlines and went on to be a successful restauranteur, realtor and entrepreneur. She was also a skilled seamstress, gourmet cook, jewellery and home designer and interior decorator. Victoria and her family appreciate the care and respect she received from all the Royal City Manor Long Term Care Home staff in New Westminster during the final six years of her life.

To honor her wishes there will be no viewing or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at Burquitlam Funeral Home on June 9 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC, Salvation Army or the charity of your choice in her memory would be gratefully accepted.
