Life Story for William Dirk "Tank" Van Tent

Bill suddenly, but peacefully, passed away at the age of 58. Born in Coquitlam, BC, Bill was the 2nd child of Dirk and Merle Van Tent. Bill spent his childhood and school years in Coquitlam alongside his sisters Rhonda and Sheri. He enjoyed many hobbies growing up but his passions were football in his teenage years and riding his motorcycle as a young adult.

As he grew older his passion for riding his motorcycle grew stronger and he became a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club in 1986. In the club he traveled to many places throughout Canada, the US and Europe. Through the club he met many of his lifelong friends who became his brothers.

Bill began dating the love of his life, Linda, in 1987 and together they raised their daughter Ashley. Bill and Linda married in 2003 and in total spent 30 wonderful years together. In 2009 Bill was blessed with his first granddaughter Jayda and his second granddaughter Ella followed in 2013. His granddaughters enriched his life in a way he never expected and he cherished being their grandpa. Bill’s love for his family and friends was undeniable.

He will be greatly missed, forever remembered, and eternally loved. There will never be another man like him.
