According to the Green Burial Society of Canada the definition of a green burial is as follows:
"Green Burial is a statement of personal values for those who seek to minimize their impact on the local and global environment. For people who are mindful of the cyclical nature of life, green burial is a spiritually fulfilling alternative to conventional burial or cremation. It is an environmentally sensitive practice: the body is returned to the earth to decompose naturally and contribute to new life.

We are lucky to live in location with multiple green burial options for families such as Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver and soon Robinson Memorial Park Cemetery in Coquitlam.
Reach out to our environmentally friendly staff for guidance and information regarding green burial and other environmentally friendly initiatives we support such as the Living Reef Program, the Honouring a Life memorial tree program.
