I met Clara while helping with the Claremont parties. Clara exemplified what it means to be kind and others-centered. She always went out of her way to make sure people get recognized for their time and work. When she met my niece, who had just come to Vancouver for her studies, she patiently took her time to encourage my niece to talk about her studies and her experience with Canada. It made her feel welcome and accepted in an unfamiliar place. Clara also introduced us to the “scenic” route to Costco because she did not like the busy Lougheed Hwy, and she was right, it was a more fun route. Life is not about rushing from one place to another but about cherishing our experience during the journey. Thank you, Clara, for teaching us this important lesson. My condolences to Clara's family. Clara, you will be dearly missed.
