Life Story for Judy Lee

Judy Lee
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Judy’s life story would take her to Connecticut to Rangoon to Vancouver and countless places in between. While she held her friends and family close, she touched the lives of many around the world.

Judy was born Isabel Judith Klock and known as Judy Bel in her youth. She spent her childhood on a farm in rural Connecticut with her parents, Albert and Jean (Penny), and her siblings, Kit and John. Her career in occupational therapy would eventually lead her to Denver, Colorado where she met and fell in love with Albert Lee, the man with whom she would share the rest of her life. During their almost 50 year marriage, Judy raised a family of four children (Kevin, Anita, Owen, and Nathan), welcomed three son- and daughter-in-laws into the family (Vinay, Melissa and Allison) and was Nana to eight grandchildren (Lian, Simone, Louis, August, Gardner, Otis, Penny and Alistair), in addition to managing a successful career and being engaged in her community.

Judy led a truly extraordinary life. She was a constant source of support and laughter to those around her. She embraced diversity, took risks and loved friends and family. She taught those of us fortunate enough to know her, the meaning of kindness and sacrifice, and showed us the best in people. These are values we will undoubtedly pass on to the ones we love because they are a part of her, which in turn make them a part of us. She has touched may lives and will continue to do so.
