Condolence From: Jeremy and Allene Hus
Condolence: Dear Uncle Ben, Carolyn, Darryl, Bridget, Peggy and Corey,
We are sending our love and standing with you in this difficult time. The thought of Aunty Marg seeing Jesus is great comfort but we mourn with you the loss of her being here with us. Aunty Marg's generosity, selflessness, and thoughtfulness are such an inspiration, as is her roast beef dinner which Jeremy will never forget. We are so thankful for Aunty Marg and the legacy of love that she leaves. You are in our prayers.

Condolence From: Steve and Vange Thiessen
Condolence: Hi Uncle Ben, Carolyn, Darryl and Bridget,
It was with a great deal of sadness that we received the news while here in Nairobi, Kenya, that Aunt Margaret had passed on. I will always remember how special it was when you and Aunt Marg would visit our family way back on the farm in DeBolt. Then later when I attended GP College and worked at the Plywood mill, you were both so supportive and hospitable. Meeting you with Vange, much later, it was always very special to enjoy your hospitality, engage in meaningful conversations and be inspired by your faith and life's journey. May you know that we love you dearly and that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family for strength during this time of loss and grief. You can know that Aunt Marg's legacy will live on through the thoughtfulness and kindness that we and many others have consistently experienced throughout her lifetime.

Condolence: Dear Ben,
We received the news in Singapore that Marg has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour. While we are saddened at this temporary parting, we rejoice that she is in a far better place, and in an infinitely better condition than we who will follow thereafter. Our fondest memories are of her graciousness and gentleness, although we know she was really tough. We were recipients of her wonderful considerateness and hospitality, and witness to her strong but quiet faith and confidence in her Master, and her unspoken love for you and the family when she spoke of them. Truly a picture paints a thousand words. And that's the wonderful picture of Marg. May God's peace be with you and take care.

Condolence: Dear Uncle Ben, Carolyn & Darryl
We are saddened by the loss of Auntie Marg and yet celebrating that she is at peace with Jesus! She has had so many health struggles through the years and yet the 2 of you faced everything together. That is an inspiration to all of us! I especially remember the times that Auntie Marg would have just me come and stay for the weekend...she always made that special for me. April and Amy remember camping together with the 2 of you at Camperland and the cookies that Auntie Marg always "secretly" gave them! If they weren't at grandma's trailer, they were at your motorhome! We have been praying that God will give you a sense of peace as you grieve and move forward together as a family with the knowledge that she is at peace in the arms of her Saviour.

Condolence: Hi Uncle Ben, Darrel, Carolyn, and family. We are saddened to hear that auntie Marg passed away, but happy at the same time to know that she is with Jesus… no more pain & discomfort, and free to run and dance like I’m sure she’s wanted to for a while. I have many wonderful memories with you all growing up in Grande Prairie, and they usually involved an amazing meal that aunt Marg had prepared. One of the best memories is when you all showed us your ski equipment, I think I was about 5. That has led to almost 5 decades of skiing with our families, and countless marvellous memories… thank you! Maybe aunt Marg is back on her skiis in heaven… Sorry we won’t be able to be there for the funeral, but please know our prayers will be with you.

Condolence: Dear Uncle Ben and family. We are sad to hear about Auntie Marg's passing, but we are also happy to know that she is with Jesus and we'll all be together again some day. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with her, and you. You have always been a wonderful aunt and uncle to my sisters and me. Auntie Marg would always spoil us so much whenever we would visit. I was always so excited in the summers that we would visit the lower mainland and stay with you. In addition, your Godly example as a couple, taking such wonderful care of each other through good times and not-so-good times over the years, has been incredible and such a great witness to everyone. Thank you so much for that as well. We love you all and we hope to be able to visit again soon.

Condolence From: Isaac, Rebecca and Anna-Joy
Condolence: We will always remember Marg as a most gracious and godly lady. In our early days in Vancouver, Ben and Marg were the first few persons to open their homes and their hearts to our family. We remember the countless meals we have had in their homes, and they were by no means a simple affair. The table is always nicely set, china and silverware, a centrepiece. Despite all that, Marg is always apologizing that she has somehow not done enough. I was then a new pastor to Vancouver BP Church, and I cannot tell you how much those times meant to me and my family.
As a pastor, I am always looking for people who can serve as godly mentors for the young believers, and in my pre-marital counselling, whenever I think of a godly couple that would serve as a mentor, Ben and Marg are one of the first couples to come to my mind. I still share some of the stories they told us sitting in their living room having a cuppa after dinner -- stories of their travels and their ministries.
Always giving. Always gracious. Never complaining.
It makes me think that the world is a little dimmer with Marg going home. But heaven has a bright star today.
So Marg, now we bless God for you, and when we meet again, we will bless God with you.

with all our love
Isaac, Rebecca, and Anna-Joy
