Life Story for Marguerite Hazel Thiessen (Wiebe)

Marguerite Hazel Thiessen (Wiebe)
Eulogy for Marguerite Hazel Thiessen

Marguerite Hazel Thiessen (Wiebe), aged 81, passed away with her husband at her side on Feb 14, 2014. She was born March 11, 1932 in Brainard Alberta to John and Mary Wiebe.

Marguerite was the first of five siblings. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary, sister Martha, survived by brothers Jake and Cornie and sister Irene.

Marguerite married Bernhard Thiessen on December 19, 1953 and had just celebrated their 60th Anniversary this past Christmas. She is survived by her husband Bernhard, their two children Carolyn and Darrell, two grand “chilluns” Peggy and Cory, daughter-in-law Brigitte and numerous nieces and nephews.

She and her husband travelled extensively across North America in their RV and enjoyed cruises to numerous destinations. Her love of painting is well represented by her works adorning the walls of their home, as well as the homes of many others. Marguerite loved flowers and plants, berry picking was almost an obsession. Bears went hungry when Marguerite was in their berry patch, however hunger was not something experienced in her house as cooking for friends and family was her true passion.

Marguerite accepted Christ as her personal saviour at ten years of age and since then, her service to and unwavering love of God was paramount throughout her life. We celebrate her life and thank god for the time she spent with us.
