The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Kaake can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Janey Kublick
Condolence: Mrs. Kaake (Mary), as I have called her for over 50 years, was not only a neighbour but also a softball player that I played with. When I was in my teens I was asked to move up and play on the women's team. Mrs. Kaake the pitcher and me the catcher. We worked together for several years. She was very competitive! We were an awesome team. She would walk down the lane to come for coffee with my mom or my mom would go to her house. Later on in life she even joined a senior's volleyball team. I have never seen a person play volleyball with gloves. Mrs Kaake did. She loved going on her cruises, Mexico, to the trailer in Washington. She will always be apart of my memories!

Condolence: I had the privilege of playing softball with Mary on the Dogwood Pavilion team for 13 years. Besides being an outstanding player, she was always very supportive of each team member and was a consistently kind, generous person. She is very fondly remembered and will be sadly missed.

Condolence: I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. I know how difficult it is, even as adults, to be without either of our parents. It's quite bizarre how we can even now feel like orphans!
So sad that now all of them are gone.
In sympathy....Lynda
