Auntie, I like to visualize heaven as a place of beautiful gardens, graceful weeping willows towering over patches of shade loving ferns and begonias. Well, if so, the Master Gardener has arrived! Tomorrow, Auntie, we will scatter rose and peony petals in your final resting place, will place on your headstone a silica-dried dogwood flower from the massive tree at 700 Blue Mountain Road. You taught me that joy can be found in planting a seed, nurturing it, watching it reach its potential. I believe that best describes how you encouraged those you loved to reach their own potential, your belief in us and your encouragement being the fertilizer. I join you in knowing that a well lived day starts and ends with a summons to the window, to cherish what is beautiful.
