Christmas at the Brows

I loved going home to visit before Christmas at Mom and Dad's house because it was like Santas workshop. Bill and Pauline made everyone homemade gifts and cards. It was always exciting to see what you got! The work station in the basement would have fabrics, ribbons and all sorts of glitter and glue around but the "gifts" would have been hidden away so you couldn't see then. On Christmas Day when you opened your gift it was always something that you could use and was personalized just for you. The smell of Christmas baking in the air set the scene and made it "feel" like Christmas. That's what my Mom did she created a warm happy environment to come home to every day. I miss you Mom!
