The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Philip Glaister can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Joy Cox & Margaret Peake

Remembering the day in 1994, Phil, when you arrived at Mission Community Services Society, and the many years we have known each other as a colleague and as a friend. We shared many good times, proud moments, as well as a few hard times, including renovating of the MCSS facility, financial challenges, accreditation of the Service to Families Program, to name a few. You were loyal, compassionate, professional, and a person of highest integrity. You touched many lives over the years, including mine, which will never be forgotten. I will miss the sharing of family stories; discussing our studies, especially when you took on your Masters degree; fishing stories; your Porsche; and of course, together with my partner, Margaret, getting together for birthday lunches. Phil, you will be sorely missed by all your colleagues, friends, and family. Thank-you for being you. We both send our sincere sympathy, and our prayers, to Hilary, Aidan, Sterling and Stephanie.
