Uncle Sam your are the Best

How can you say thank you to someone who was a giant of a man, a saint and a really awesome 'Uncle Sam', a name that we have come to address him by; and befitting of the 'super' uncle status that he had lived up too, very much all his life.
Both Uncle and Ee2 were one of the best if not the best uncle and aunt we had know, by far.
When I was just a young boy, I remembered spending many happy day staying over that uncle's home and playing with Kevin. It was always the highlight of our school holidays and my sis and I always looked forward to our stay there for the holidays. While uncle was still in the navy, we went on private cruise to nearby islands, stayed over at the huge bungalows over at 'Pulau Blakang Mati', now call Sentosa and did many fun things together. Uncle was very kind and forgiving. Being young, active and 'naughty', I had often gotten myself into trouble messing with things, even then, uncle did not get angry, although I did feel terribly bad for what I did, breaking some of uncle's things.
Uncle was a natural 'handy man', a 'gadget man', a master chef and a hobbyist. He love fixing, exploring new stuff, cooking and experimenting . He always seem to know how to fix everything and at the same time, uncle is wise as he was helpful; and he cooks one of the best meals ever. He always seem to know all the answers, or at least most of it and in his gentle and quite way, help you find the solution. He is never assuming, pushy or anything like that and was a very approachable down to earth sort of a person.
Another highlight was Christmas. Uncle's turkey and stuffing was a 'to die for' must have every Christmas and uncle's culinary skills really shine, not just during Christmas but in the many dishes that he experimented on and cooked with  great perfection and they turned out wonderfully delicious. Uncle was also quite humorous, one Christmas after having our meal together, he announced that the meat we had was rabbit meat, we all almost chocked that evening, whether it was real or not, we will never know now.
Uncle also loves nature and never bother much about getting his hands wet or dirty. Unlike many of us so called 'urbanized' people afraid of insects and such, uncle on the other hand was fearless and is normally the one to catch such unwelcomed guest whenever they made an appearance.
Yes we will and I will certainly miss uncle a whole lot. Uncle had left us a legacy to follow in the ways of our Lord Jesus as he himself had lived, to live not for his own but for those around him, to care and share, to be generous and to explore new frontiers in our lives that life could be exciting and well lived.
Thank you dearest uncle. I salute you with much love, gratefulness and thankful for all that you have done and all that you are to me; and to all those you had so lovingly touched and impacted throughout your life.
