April 18, 1952 - December 4, 2015
It is with sadness that we mark the passing of Robert J Carlyle. Beating the odds for 5 years, Bob never gave up. He is an inspiration to all of us and his kind, caring and generous spirit will live on in his beloved wife Joan, children Kimberley, Craig and Bradley (Kristy). His grandchildren, Nyla and Bowen who he loved so much will miss him, as will his mother Joan, brothers Daryl (Anna Marie) and Brian, and his nieces and nephews. Lots of help and support came from his brother in law Jim, Roberta and his vast network of friends. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Patricia Gabriel and Dr. Cheryl Ho as well as Eagle Ridge Hospital, Vancouver General Hospital and the BC Cancer Agency. With their help and care Bob lived longer and in better health. In lieu of flowers please support any of these wonderful organizations. Condolences and tributes may be sent to the family on his Book of Memories at www.burquitlamfuneralhome.ca
