The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Carlyle can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Always ready to celebrate

The very first time I met Bob, was a celebration. It was a staff Xmas party event and Bob was there along with lots of other spouses. It was Xmas 1976 and Joan and I and others were colleagues and sharing the evening with our bosses and spouses were invited. It was a super fun night meeting everyone and to this day still value having a few of these people in my life. Bob was a welcome partier! He blended in so easily and from that night on he was ready to celebrate just about anything...and so he did.

So here's to you Bob...almost a year later...another reason to raise a glass and recognize you and your many life's contributions...a celebration of you and your legacy. You are and never will be forgotten.
