The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Steven Burridge can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Good bye for now my long term friend since our grade 1 days at Fairview Country School,St. Catharines

Steven and I had the good fortune to grow up in the country- just 3 miles west on the scenic route (formerly number 8 highway) from St. Catharines. We started grade 1 together at Fairview (teacher Miss Smith)and I still have his comments in an old autograph book.ie "You are a great chatter box,but you are okay." With regularity,I would receive a phone call from Steven at my birthday time in October and we would chat and catch up on what had happened and was happening in our respective lives. This November we met for lunch in West Vancouver and we discussed his health challenges and what might be the problem.I encouraged him to continue to be his own best advocate which I knew he would. We shared many memories over our once yearly lunches, including old school days and our days running along the counnry road for Track and Field - our country gardens, and our respective careers, families and grandchildren over the years. I will miss you my dear friend and colleague. You died too young.... God bless you forever, Joan Joan E. Gadsby, North Vancouver,BC
