Energy Man

I have many wonderful memories of Alistair: riding a wagon down the steep street by the McIntosh home in Burnaby (great ride down but a heck of a walk back up); relay races at the Olsen farm - Grant, Bruce and I would take turns running against Al, but he ran all the laps by himself and still won every time; Alistair thought it would be fun to see how quickly we could drink water out of a large jug, so we borrowed a watch, and started drinking as much as we could and as fast as we could then pass it on. When the jug was empty we'd check the watch and do it again to try to beat the time before; Al would show us how to shoot magpies with a bb gun, or throw rotten eggs at the barn. I was never sure if he had the "ok" from Uncle Erick of Auntie Catherine but we sure had a good time! Al had more energy than anyone I've ever known and I'm so glad I had the good fortune to know him, and have him as a cousin.
