Memories of Colleen our friend and neighbor. She will always be remembered for her vibrant personality, her kindness to others, and as a valuable member of Blake Point community. On many an occasion, we looked out of our window and there was Colleen doing her civic duty blowing the road. We used to joke that she was attached to the blower, as not only was her driveway always pristine, but also the Strata road leading to her residence. Her only enemy was that darn squirrel that took great joy in depositing pinecones on her driveway. We will always remember Colleen not only as a competitive tennis player, but someone who always had the time to give advice and help others to improve their game. She devoted many hours to the tennis courts and helped keep them in immaculate condition. Colleen had a mischievous side that we found really endearing. She was a smart lady and always knew the right time to inject and elicit a response into a serious conversation and develop a different if not a contrary point of view. You could not miss the glint in her eyes at these times. A couple of facts not commonly known by Colleen. She was a great actress, in fact, we had the privilege of awarding her with Blake Point’s Oscar for her performance prior to Val and Pam’s surprise party. We needed her acting ability to keep Pam busy, a performance that delivered both the guests of honour and copious enjoyment to all in attendance. Another little known fact is that Colleen had a beautiful singing voice. She could carry a tune and entertained us the early days with a crystal clear voice that was truly wonderful to hear. One cannot mention Colleen without mentioning Fred; they had a symbiotic relationship that was truly inspiring to watch. We all love you Fred and are here for you for many years to come. Farewell our dear friend, it was a privilege to know you and enjoy singing with the angels. Robinson Family.
