Sorry to hear your news. I only met Jim a few times but he was someone who left a big impression. His work with ISE, especially the under ice, was truly pioneering. He was probably one of only a handful of engineers in the world who had a proper grasp of the technical complexities and a detailed understanding of autonomous under water vehicles.
