The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Ferguson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Julie … Our most sincere condolences to the Ferguson family. Although there are no words that could possibly soothe the pain you and your family are now enduring, people will try, and whatever words they use and even if some of those words fail to console, people are really just trying to say that they care. With the long relationship both you and James had with the submarine community we hope you are well aware that we are among those who care. As hard as it will be to do, make the time to take care of yourself and your family. A submariners tradition of which you are, we are sure, well aware, honouring the passing of one of our own, is the final line of our respects: ‘ We shall remember. ’ W.
